About

NG speakingLife: I grew up in the South of England and now live in South London. I’m married to Sarah and we have three beautiful children. I’ve played semi-pro football at different levels across Kent, London and the South East. I’m currently playing in the Kent County Premier League for Peckham Town FC, a brilliant club at the heart of its community. I’m an active political campaigner – if I’m not playing football on a Saturday afternoon, you will find me campaigning for the Conservative Party across the country. I’ve stood as a local councillor in my home ward (twice).

Work: I am the Managing Director of the CSJ Foundation, an organisation that supports local grassroots charities around the UK. I am also the Executive Director of the Atlantic Partnership, an organisation that promotes the need for a strong transatlantic relationship. Prior to these roles I was the Chief Operating Officer for the Legatum Institute; the Chief Operating Officer at the Centre for Social Justice; and prior to that I led the team that produces an annual global Prosperity Index™. I have also worked in the House of Lords as a Senior Parliamentary Researcher.

Blog: My aim is for this blog to primarily focus on UK politics but it will inevitably drift into many of the other things that interest me including: writing, film, running, football, US politics, music, democracy, love, philosophy, and general banter.
